If you read my recent post on my Creative Inspirations you will know I have a lot of love for creative people in my life. I am also constantly looking for further inspiration; social media being my biggest go to. I have been following Niki Groom’s (AKA Miss Magpie Spy) Instagram for a while. If you haven’t seen it yet, go look now and marvel at how she puts together her collages – it’s both genius and beautiful! A Bristol based Fashion Designer, turned Fashion and Beauty Illustrator, you may also have spotted her work for brands such as Clinique, Accessorize, Liberty and Hobbs.
Niki is currently part of the Makers for Refugees initiative, and from 8pm on Monday 27th March, she will be auctioning off some of her stunning illustrations, with all profits going to Help Refugees. Along with her illustrations, she is also including some of her favourite things (the name magpie comes from her love of collecting shiny trinkets and she has an eye for the gorgeous things in the world). These include greeting cards, beautiful stamps and hand drawn greeting tags.
She shared some of the beautiful photos to give a flavour of what will be included in the parcels. The charming setting was provided by The Forge in Bristol and flowers were from Lily Violet May at Temple Meads. (This reminded me I need to visit the Forge; it looks like such a gorgeous venue!)
Follow Niki on Instagram and keep an eye out for her first post at 8pm Monday https://www.instagram.com/miss_magpie_spy. Further details of what to look for provided below:

WARNING: I got completely lost in this site reading about gorgeous creative stories and places…
Good luck bidding everyone!
